Hi, I am looking for a usb and/or pcie adapter that will work with gnu/linux-libre & bsds out of the box. I found this, https://www.thinkpenguin.com/gnu-linux/penguin-wireless-n-usb-adapter-gnu-linux-tpe-n150usb. Does anyone have any other recommendations? Thanks!
I would check in https://h-node.org
ThinkPenguin is famous for being expensive.
In Media Markt, I could buy an AC600 Nano USB Wi-Fi Adapter which worked with Linux-Libre.
Great one, used it several times.
Ok, I ended up buying a Wireless access point to connect to wifi and just plug in the ethernet, so it works on any os. Thanks!
You have to find out what the chipset is and buy accordingly.
The best supported chipsets are Atheros and Realtek. Avoid Broadcom.

Panda products are also worth a look. Be sure you watch prices though, some of their models are EXCESSIVELY overpriced. I had to return one of these “higher end” products as their lower end model gave me better experiences.
