    I actually tend to prefer that naming scheme. It’s utilitarian and conveys the main function of the program, unlike the other trend in software naming of picking some random word like “lemon” (or even just making up a random word) which doesn’t tell you anything about what the project is supposed to do.

      Well, I dont think the open part is what conveys the meaning, but the word after it is what does. For example, Open Street Maps the Open is irrelevant since you probably find it on GitHub or F-droid, I already know it is libre.
