My bank too and I’m Black, this is one of the more fair credit union towards even accepting Black members. It’s also gatekept by military service or inheritance and still Black people are overrepresented in the banks membership, 18% vs 14% of the US pop. Our deposits are being used to fund white people buying homes and starting businesses, while we or our relatives worked for the empire for the “opportunity” to be scammed slightly less than usual.
Do note that Bank of America and the likes approve more Black mortgages, however these banks are also the ones who caused the recession in 07 by overcharging Black and Latino loans in interest or even raising the “value” of a property in their estimates.

Personal finance club sounds more like an ego project than anything else.
