    Last year, the Chinese military banned Tesla cars from entering its complexes, citing security concerns over cameras installed on the vehicles, Reuters reported at the time citing sources who had seen the directive.

    I think that’s a reasonable security concern.

      Seriously, any EV can be fairly trivially converted to a carbomb. All it takes is bypassing the battery protection circuitry and you’ve got a source of unquenchable fire and explosive hydrogen and organic solvants! Many lithium ion batteries even spew out hydroflouric acid (you know, the chemical they used in Breaking Bad to dissolve dead bodies) as a breakdown product. I don’t know how doable it is by your average person, but it would be child’s play for the CIA or Tesla itself to rig one to blow up.
