Florida grand jury calls for new tax to curb illegal immigration

The grand jury report calls for what it describes as a “modest” fee charged to customers similar to one imposed by the state of Oklahoma.

The document in question here is a 146 (!) page colossus released this Monday, the result of a body assembled by the migrant-kidnapper-in-chief Florida Governor Ron DeSantis to “investigate” migrant-related issues. The recommendations here include a tax on remittances, tighter restrictions on E-Verify, and a call to INVESTIGATE human rights organizations who aid migrants. The horrid, misguided, no-good recommendations of this document will no doubt rear their ugly heads in the next Florida legislative session, where a Republican supermajority will be free to impose an even more draconian anti-migrant vision on the people of America’s most beleaguered peninsula.
