I just got a message from a trans friend saying they got banned from /r/trans for trying to post the feinberg image I made some time ago. They messaged me, saying they were crying, because they got banned from 4 trans subreddits because of it and they were one of their only places of support and was so shocked that it was against the rules. They were already harassed off reddit once. I mentioned they could come here.

Its so fucking crazy that literally the 2-5% of trans people, liberals, were able to get ahold of the trans subreddits and hold our communities hostage, fragment them, and purge any trans people that want to fight and advocate for third world trans people who are literally having bombs dropped on their heads. I spend half my time on here going through ban logs to make sure as many trans people get to be here as possible and are dealt with leniently because of shit like this.

reddit logo ruins everything

thank you for showing me this site, it seems more welcoming. i am a lurker by nature at this point but i really appreciate you noticing my removal

you have now signed up for nonbinary hijra facts.

did you know bahuchara is a hindu transgender god that rides a giant rooster? this leads to a lot of innuendo.

Just putting it out in the void, are there any good online spaces beyond Hexbear for trans folks? I’m so done with reddit logo. And beyond discord servers out there for transfem voice training, it’s frustrating.

im not super aware of discord servers, never been my cup of tea. im more into front facing stuff.

susans place has a forum, and i know of some chinese trans sites on baidu tieba that are largely spammed by chasers, but outside of reddit, raddle.me and certain twitter, facebook pages, and tumblr hashtags… the pickings are slim. I want to try to drag people here so I look for removals on trans subreddits and try to bring people that are cool here

a lot of transgender people in india, if they are online, are on obscure facebook pages. this is because transgender people are generally poor and the only internet cheap phones in india can access is facebook because it is subsidized. i recommend checking there for indian stuff. but i do not like showing to everyone i am trans on facebook, this led me to look elsewhere.

it is unfortunately better to go to temples to bahuchara or similar deities for support in india.

I really hate how corporations have a giant monopoly on transgender spaces on the internet. Its incredibly frustrating and like you said, they make it easy to dox vulnerable trans people. We need to figure out how to jailbreak their phones and get hexbear on them lmao

Tumblr’s not bad if you curate your feed decently. It can get a little transfem vs transmasc at times but it’s largely where I hang out online besides here

it’s not hard to only follow a bunch of transgender communists on tumblr. now, the discourse can get bad sometimes but still pretty good if you can get past the site itself

tbf i would expect hexbear to do that if the mods didnt uphold our regular purging of transphobes. its just reddit does that in reverse, they seem to have found some of the worst people to mod the trans subreddits. all the rules seem to be designed to fracture the trans community and prohibit discussion of topics relating to trans people in the global south simply because its ‘controversial’

which is just… bizarre. any other subreddit would say the same about trans existence

No, im pretty sure it’s just first come first serve. So it’s a coin flip on whoever grabs a subreddit. There’s also ego people that collect subreddits by weaseling their way into mod teams

I have indirect connections to an infamous POS liberal that is dominant in these sections of the Hitlerite Forums aka reddit logo and it’s hard to not descend into fits of rage bc you know how deeply rotten they are from all the people around them recounting their previous lives and you can’t tell without getting their psycho fans on your and your friends’ arse and being silenced/smeared by them

Reddit’s a toxic place full of judgemental closed minded people and the mods are no exception. Skinner box of brainwormed echochambers. It sows divison among the community same as a few other places I’ve known, lots of toxicity to people who don’t conform to the hive mind kind of logic that goes on. Never felt I could fit in such places thus drifted between places for a long time. Best finding somewhere more inclusive, like here c:

Hopefully more will, a lot of places make it harder for people like myself (transbian enby) feel welcome and it can be fairly alienating when you’re a baby trans trying to learn things and not feeling part of the in crowd… , (I’m 8 years in and world weary at this point but I learn new stuff all the time) But I’ve been in some bad bad places looking for people to connect with over the years and while you may find a place to roost for a bit the toxicity of some places can be a little much and affect you negatively so having a more welcome place is an instant improvement on most spaces. I’d like this place to be a beacon for diverse people to come together.
It’s good to see more voices here and the places here are seeming to grow a little each day, it’s warming to see. I’m looking forward to seeing the community grow and become a bit more diverse as it grows too. You’re doing a good job here, long may it continue c:

Interesting, so has Israeli forces taken over Reddit? Would make for an interesting article for an investigative journalist to look into.

The problem generally speaking is that liberals run a lot of reddit and there’s a certain type of liberal in mod teams that always wants the space to rigidly adhere to the liberal party line. That line at the moment is pro-zionism. So the outcome is this.

There is definitely some discussion in backrooms about whether it’s worthwhile for radicals to split from liberals when they do this. It’s an attitude of “the wrong kind of trans”. Support and protection in a community shouldn’t require you adhere to a certain political position on non-trans issues. Support and protection should be unconditional.

Never have I met a Pro-Putin, Zionism, Nazism, etc. liberal, it’s really odd to me to hear that. Like asking for colors that make no sense but people just nod like that it’s sensible like kale-white, dirt-blue, etc.

You’ve never met a pro-zionism liberal? It seems to be the norm among them.

I think it’s important to differentiate here between non-participant liberals and the participant liberals. Or “the masses” and the active political agitators. The liberals who are ideologically active true believers participating to push liberalism are all pro-zionist barring none. The general masses I agree are mostly indifferent or anti zionist.

Personally think it’s probably beneficial to the left to split from liberals on all things. It’s getting harder and harder to be in any form of non-ideological coalition with them, they can’t help but bat for imperialism. In an issue like this it’s explicitly harmful to the marginalised people they’re supposed to be holding as priority as well. My take is that the community needs a suite of explicitly leftist communities. These will reinvigorate some radicalism in the lgbt community that has dissipated due to liberal assimilation. The biggest issue with assimilation has been that it creates complacency and reduces the number of radicals as people see governments running pride parades and companies supporting lgbt people they see it as “won”. These companies and governments take over the role of organising and then when they stop doing it there are no organisers, because they were assimilated. The community then has no skilled radicals to continue it themselves so the lgbt community takes Ls on many fronts with no skilled organisers doing pushback.

Keep in mind I’m in Britain so my perspective is heavily coloured by my locality. I don’t know if things are drastically different in the states, I get the impression that they are a bit different in some ways.
