Steve Jobs had pancreatic cancer, which is among the deadliest cancers you can possibly get. However, it was caught exceptionally early and was an incredibly rare treatable pancreatic cancer. He had fantastic odds for any cancer diagnosis.
So he decided to not treat it medically and go on fruit juice purges instead, which is the exact diet that aggravates pancreatic cancer.
This makes me particularly mad since I’ve had 2 friends die of Pancreatic Cancer, and it can just straight up kill you in under a month. This fucker actually had a chance and pissed it away.

A CEO is an ‘ideas guy’ (who are dime a dozen and generally worthless) who has the pedigree and connections to make enough attempts to survive the entrepreneurial lottery and then assign that survivorship to their ‘genius’ when it could be (and generally is) any number of outside factors.
You don’t even need to be that; you can buy a company started by people who had good ideas, declare yourself the founder and forbid the actual founders from referring to themselves as such.
