Every dollar spent on the IRS brings in $5-9 in increased revenue by actually enforcing existing tax law. If this passes it will cost the American taxpayers between $71.5-128.7 billion dollars to blow up Palestinian children. That is what every lawmaker, and Biden if he signs it, is voting for. That much money could pay for free college for everyone currently enrolled for 1-2 years. Fuck Biden and this morally depraved genocidal government.
The thing is, the Democratic Party – aside from the few progressive voices – don’t care about how much it costs us. The IRS shit will have negative effects, but fighting over that is just a cover for most of them.
The Democratic Party actually hates the Republican bill because it doesn’t provide enough lethal military aid to Ukraine or a stronger militarized Southern border. Biden and his camp disagree with this shit because it’s less imperialist than the version they’d prefer. And because of that, he’ll sign it anyways.
