If only westerners did nothing, instead they stand on the side wringing their hands about “islamic terrorism” while Israel massacres Palestinians using weapons they only have because of the west.

I am so glad these temporarily embarrassed westerners are a tiny minority here in South Africa. They still hold way too much power though. They got a radio host on 94.7 to apologise for calling out the dead babies atrocitiy propaganda. Fucking satanically racist fools.

I love seeing Rise Against in the wild. But kind of hate when their lyrics are accurate.

The Black Market is my favorite album of all time. People Live Here hits extra hard right now.

The Sufferer And The Witness is my favourite album ever. Even the album art is a metaphor of sorts. There’s the person on the cover getting screamed at, who is the sufferer, and then we, the listeners, are therefore the witness. Black Market is also pretty good though.

All their music hits really hard right now to be honest.

I’m an atheist. But all this, it makes me understand why many oppressed people turn to religion. There’s so much injustice in this world that we feel (and, to a certain extent, are, at least as individuals) powerless to stop. We want there to be some sort of final reckoning for the bad guys.

But no, we’re alone. If we want justice in this world, then humanity will have to collectively choose justice.

As the man himself said it: “religion is the sigh of an opressed creature, the heart of a heartless world, the soul of soulless conditions… It is the opium of the masses”.

I’m fortunate that my parents, who were raised going to church, turned away from religion specifically because of the incredible injustice they witnessed. They knew there was no magical spirit coming to save us, they raised their kids to fight for real change here on earth. I have felt such despair and seen the appeal of religion, I think it can be helpful for people so long as it doesn’t allow them to become complacent about what needs to be done here now.

You who survive these times must not forget. Forget neither the good nor the bad… I want this to be known: that there were no nameless heroes here; that they were people with names, faces, longings and hopes, and that the pain of the very last of them was no less than the pain of the very first… Man’s duty does not end with this fight, for to be a man will continue to demand a heroic heart as long as mankind is not quite human.

Enough of Genocide, Long live the struggle of the Palestinian People

As a result of the serious events that are happening in Palestine in recent days, from Acción Libertaria, we want to remember that the State of Israel keeps the Palestinian people under brutal occupation. That through this illegal and illegitimate occupation the Zionist State is trying to exterminate the Palestinian people by perpetrating what could surely constitute the greatest genocide of the 21st century.

Israel, with the construction of the wall, the checkpoints and other criminal practices, has turned Gaza into an open-air prison, a ghetto that almost doubles that of Warsaw, the largest ever built. Inside, the Palestinian population is denied the most basic rights inherent to any human being, by denying, they are even denied their right to exist.

We denounce that with the excuse of defending itself from terrorism, Israel applies a policy of terror and expulsion through permanent military incursions, in which war crimes are regularly perpetrated. As an example, in the first half of 2023 alone, the Israeli armed forces have killed 34 boys and girls from Palestine in routine actions.

We want to make clear the permanent illegality of the State of Israel, a state that today fails to comply with more than 100 United Nations resolutions and more than 40 Security Council resolutions. By failing to comply, Israel fails to comply with resolution 181 of the United Nations of 1947, the founding resolution of the State of Israel. Does anyone remember what happened in Iraq when international thugs alleged that this state was failing to comply with a United Nations resolution?

Far from what happened in Iraq, the State of Israel is constantly rewarded for its crimes. He is a criminal, but he is our criminal. The European Union and, in particular, the Spanish State are a good example of this international collusion with Israel’s genocidal policies.

The EU became Israel’s first trading partner when it signed, in 1995, a Euro-Mediterranean Association Agreement that came into force in 2000. This Agreement was revised in 2008 for an “improvement of relations.” Each year, the EU receives 25% of Israeli exports and Israel imports 40% of its purchases from the EU.

However, the clauses of the preamble and article 2 of said Association Agreement (on respect for Human Rights, democratic principles, and the United Nations Charter), have been systematically ignored by Israel without any response from “ its preferred partners. Furthermore, in its article 83, the aforementioned treaty prohibits trading with any product originating from occupied territories, a clause also violated by Israel and ignored by “its preferred partners.”

The Spanish State is Israel’s tenth trading partner in the world, and Israel is Spain’s first market in the Middle East. From the 80s until today, the establishment of different bilateral agreements and conventions between Spain and Israel has continued. Among these trade agreements are, as could not be otherwise, the purchase and sale of weapons.

We want to express that we are deeply repugnant by the statements made by the leaders of the international community in support of the strategy of terror and extermination perpetrated by the Zionist State. There has been no time for Joe Biden, who in 2021 claimed not to be Jewish but a Zionist, to express his “unwavering support for Israel”, after which all his servants of the international community, like Pedro Sánchez, have had no time to join to violence, the violence of putting the victim, Palestinian and executioner, Israel, on the same level, and demanding that the Palestinian people allow themselves to be exterminated without protesting much.

We want to denounce the hypocrisy of equalizing the actors of a conflict that can be staged in stones against tanks and whose consequences are punishable by 20 years in prison for throwing a stone, even if from 12 years of age. While supporting, subsidizing and applauding those who are perpetrating genocide with tanks.

We also want to denounce the hypocrisy of that part of the international community, which is the same one that, raising the flag of the fight against occupation, sends weapons to Ukraine to weaken a geopolitical enemy at almost zero cost, at the cost of lives and property. suffering of the people of Ukraine.

In view of the situation we can only say, in the most forceful way possible, LONG LIVE THE legitimate and legal STRUGGLE OF THE PALESTINIAN PEOPLE against the occupation and for their existence.
