Asides from that (and their opinions on Russia), they posted some decent anti-capitalist rhetoric. I guess this serves as a reminder that not everyone who shares such rhetoric is actually committed to it when things get real.
Fair, I wonder why it was canonized as a Marxist thing. I guess it was probably just opposition to bourgeois nationalism was extrapolated to all nationalism by some.
Marx and Engels certainly did have some gaps in their knowledge of non-European countries
They knew they weren’t capitalist though, and that their knowledge of capitalism only applied to Europe.
