The movie was a pretty entertaining Sci film that took the overall concept/plot of the book and then did its thing. The book was like a Sci fi incel fan fiction. Like an incel white night wet dream. Reading the book first had me almost skip ever seeing the movie, but the movie wasn’t nearly so cringe.
