Hello, there, dear comrades! I am not fond of the aforementioned source myself, but… What are your thoughts on Medium.com from a perspective of a poster? Would you find it worthwhile to post your writing there? What are some of the platforms you’d use instead? Thanks!

Write.as looks decent … if you’re living in credit card turf. Not really helpful for people who live in more advanced parts of the world. :-/

Personally I don’t want to be on a proprietary platform. This was once the reason for me to leave Blogger. I do use options that are FLOSS and can be self-hosted. BTW: I now use WordPress and Movim.

I think you should definitely post on Medium. Despite being an ad hell, you will get greater exposure than other options. It’s also important for left -wing writing to exist platforms that a lot of people are on.
It might also be worth posting the same texts on more than one platform.
If medium uses markdown it could be trivial to mirror
