Alibaba isn’t directly state owned, I think it and Tencent are the biggest private companies in China (Huawei has tighter state links than either but is also still techniciall private iirc). Of course they still have a mandatory CPC committee in Alibaba.
I assumed it’s be in the “17 out of 20” section for the “these are the only three of the top companies not state owned”. Huawei is. Guess Alibaba and Tencent not big enough?
