The only secret trade routes will be the ones where western corporations are still selling to and buying from Russia. But even these are only opaque in the same sense as security glass i.e. wholly transparent from the other side.

It’s all about maintaining the narrative for the western public. Admission that the west failed to bring the rest of the world to heel, and is now forced to go back on their own sanctions is a hard pill to swallow.
