The Ultimate End Of NATO | The Greanville Post
www.greanvillepost.comSCOTT RITTER—The important thing to note about the current crisis in Ukraine is that while the underlying issues are solely the byproduct of NATO overreach, the timing of the crisis is based upon a Russian timetable defined by purely Russian goals and objectives. The goal of Russia is not to destroy Ukraine—this could be accomplished at any time. Rather, the goal of Russia is to destroy NATO.
This will not be accomplished through the direct use of military force, but rather the indirect threat of military action which forces NATO to react in a way that exposes the impotence of an organization that long ago lost its raison d-etre, collective defense, and instead flounders under the weight of a mission—the containment of Russia—it cannot achieve, and which its membership is not united in pursuing.
This looks like the stopping point / reversal of its expansion. That front line has been advancing steadily east from the east-west germany dividing line, after the fall of the warsaw pact nations. Really happy to see the division now, with even Turkey and France not wanting to carry water for the US anymore.
Finally Russia is in a strong enough position to do this:
Yeah, Russia showed NATO to be completely impotent and now Europe is going to be made to suffer so that US can force sanction on Russia. This will drive further division and resentment between western countries. Meanwhile, Russia is already sanction proof and sanctions will only force it to develop domestic industry further as well as create a closer alliance with China.
