Wounded three times in battle, she was never defeated by the Nazis. Zinaida, with her rifle of justice, fought until the final victory in Berlin and became a Hero of the Soviet Union.

These Soviet heroines are never mentioned in Western history books.

    This is great to know. Seeing her, I could not help but be reminded of Shewareged Gedle, which is fitting since she also struggled against Fascist colonialism.
