There’s one person in the comment who said gyms have a transmission rate of 0.0023%. Source.
The number seems very fake (and also comes from a lobby) because here pretty much everyone at my gym caught the virus (whether or not it was at the gym) and we certainly don’t have the numbers the US does.
Same, my city did some analysis and found that the three biggest transmission spots were restaurants, gyms, and churches.
With respect to national data, the International, Health, Racquet and Sportsclub Association (IHRSA) partnered with a data firm to examine member check in data and positive case data from reopened clubs through September 2020 to determine a “visit-to-virus” ratio.
Conflict of interest for sure.
