During 2025, the Ministry of Public Works completed a total of 1,749 projects throughout the country. These projects were aimed at benefiting and protecting the Venezuelan people, strengthening infrastructure, and improving services.
Among the completed projects, the following stand out: 960 under the Plan for Adapting Spaces for Justices of the Peace , 212 promoted by the Bricomiles (Educational Brigades) , 193 dedicated to social infrastructure improvements, 78 linked to the Rain Emergency Plan, and 58 for the construction and rehabilitation of sports and cultural facilities. An additional 52 were carried out through the National Road Plan. The remainder corresponds to Bricomiles projects in the health sector , the National Risk Mitigation Plan, public services, and large-scale infrastructure projects.
These results are complemented by the Community Roof Plan , which completed 99 roof replacement processes, to improve the lives of more than 155,000 households in the states of Aragua, Barinas, Bolívar, Capital District, Guárico, La Guaira, Miranda, Monagas, Sucre and Trujillo.
Infrastructure and monuments
During 2025 , significant infrastructure projects were carried out, including the construction of works of great historical value in Caracas, designed to highlight the identity of the Venezuelan people. These include:
- Monument to the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War over Nazi-fascism, in Plaza Venezuela.
- Monument to the 200th anniversary of the creation of Plaza Bolivia, Favorite Daughter of El Libertador, in Plaza Catia.
- Monument to the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese people in the World Anti-Fascist War, on Boyacá Avenue with Cota Mil and the China-Venezuela Brotherhood Park.
Likewise, works were carried out in spaces dedicated to faith and science in Caracas and Trujillo, in honor of Saint José Gregorio Hernández and Saint Carmen Rendiles , following their beatification. Among the 21 impactful works are:
- The remodeling of Plaza La Candelaria in Caracas, with monuments in honor of the first Venezuelan saints.
- The rehabilitation of the Mother House of the Servants of Jesus.
- The construction of an outdoor altar at the Church of Our Lady of the Rosary, in Isnotú, the birthplace of Dr. José Gregorio Hernández, in homage to his canonization.
Roads and communication
Furthermore, priority was given to addressing the social demand for road infrastructure, with the execution of slope stabilization, paving , and pothole repair work. This also included the maintenance and repair of bridges , the restoration of agricultural roads , the construction and repair of guardrails, curbs, and drainage ditches, and the comprehensive sanitation of highways and main roads.
In this regard, national authorities emphasize that the Obratón 2025 represents a management strategy that highlights and expands the projects carried out throughout the country, from sports and cultural infrastructure to health and basic services projects. It also aims to strengthen the National Public System and guarantee the well-being of communities.
