I think if the people killed were predominantly security forces and innocent bystanders that would have been emphasized a lot more by state media, and it would have been cast as a terror attack instead of insurrection.

Imagine even, say, a few hundred protesters dying here. What would be the reaction? It would be quite large. It would be talked about a lot, even if they were, like, J6 type protesters. People wouldn’t sweep the event under the rug and pretend it didn’t affect anything.
