Welcome to Lemmygrad, maybe you’ll stay a while and expose yourself to perspectives different from your own, and maybe even change your mind based on new evidence.
Yeah, no, I’m familiar and as it turns out repeating nonsense from “Telegram sources” isn’t changing my opinions of anything. As someone who has literally voted for communist candidates in elections in the last year, I’m glad to have grown up before this type of American sports-team need for religious unquestioning, black and white adherence to whatever the online bubble is totally organically pushing. If someone wants to in a handful of words categorise Hungary as “crushed” or Ukraine as “Nazi” that’s not a serious line of thought that needs to be interrogated. Its source does.
Until my new PieFed client figures out how to block instances, please don’t expect me to engage with naked fluff talking points on here. I’m interested in speaking to people about how they themselves engage with it.
Of course, I’ll likely just be banned, because engaging with other viewpoints is not exactly as encouraged here as you’ve suggested.

You haven’t engaged with anything from what I can gather. All you’ve done is come in here and talk down to others about what they believe, how they think, and the sources they’re using. That is the part that’s “online bubble” behavior, that you refuse to even engage with alternatives to what you already think. It’s like coming into a place and taking a shit on the floor, and then saying, “Wow, it stinks in here! You must really like the smell of shit to let it stink so bad in here!”
“who is benefiting from making young leftists think like this”
Think like what though? That the EU is not a bastion of “freedom and democracy”? You haven’t made it clear what you even believe about anything, other than dropping a random “As someone who has literally voted for communist candidates in elections in the last year”, as if this proves you are clearheaded on everything ideologically. For all I know, you’re talking about Zohran Mamdani in the US, who has been labeled a communist but can’t even stand by AES states.
As it turns out, when you aren’t from somewhere that leftist thought is completely alien, you don’t have to daydream of the collapse of western civilisation to see change.

What does “western civilization” mean to you? Because usually when someone touts the importance of “western civilization”, they are standing atop a hill made up of bodies from the rampaging slaughter and plunder of colonialism and imperialism. Something you should have somewhat of an understanding from if you are from Ireland, considering its own dealings with British colonialism; what exactly is civilized about that slaughter and oppression that would have you protective of a notion of so-called western civilization?
Western civilisation includes bad and good like every other civilisation. It includes Ireland as well as Britain, Gaul as well as Rome. People who see it as nothing but imperialism would do well to remember who was “imperialed” first. As you’ve rightly spotted Ireland suffered a greatly. As an Irishman I’ll tell you I would rather you not compound matters by deciding that that erased anything positive about the culture we’re part of.
Commenting on the daydream was not a value statement. Western civilisation is… well, not exactly great for the world right now. For better or worse however, I’m in it and so are my kids. So if it’s alright with you, I’d rather work to improve it than cheer on various other forms of imperialism so that, uh, I get to see the “worse” part of “worse before it gets better”.
I don’t know where to find common ground. It feels like we are speaking two different languages and it is difficult to try to bridge that gap, if this is not on a good faith basis from the get-go, which it doesn’t appear to be.
It appears like you think people here, as some general mass that has no individuality, simply want destruction, which is the furthest thing from the truth. Do you suppose you are the only one here who lives in the west, who has self interests in not dying in horrific decline and rupture?
One of the common understandings of marxism-leninism about capitalist government and reform is not, as you make it sound, “you can never get any reforms through and I hope collapse comes quickly”. It is more like “the capitalist state will do everything in its power to cling to power and confrontation is inevitable.” So sure, work on harm reduction if you want, just don’t have illusions that it is going to save the system or something. Take the wins you can get, but also organize like you know it won’t be enough to do reforms within the capitalist system. Is that at odds with what you believe? Is it any closer to an understanding? You tell me.
It’s progressing better than I could’ve hoped, and if you’re too ignorant to see it happening then what else is there to say. Now go back to whatever hole you crawled out of fash.

You’ve misunderstood what I meant by “source”. I meant “who is benefiting from making young leftists think like this” not “lol nice substack bro”.
Rest is spot on though 🫡

I’m from Ireland and it was a local election.

Despite being widely viewed as Europe’s most “pro-Palestine” country, Ireland is, per person, the single largest economic supporter of Israel on Earth. In 2024 alone, it imported $3.2 billion in goods and services from Israel, over $600 for every resident. Most of that was dual-use electronics: components that power both consumer tech and military drones. Shockingly, that’s more than 12 times the U.S. import figure per capita. While the Irish government speaks the language of justice, its material role in Israel’s genocide is among the most substantial in the world. Far from practising what they preach, Ireland’s ruling class, by the logic of the free market and the parasitic nature of its economy, simply practices what they leech.
Do you have a point, or do you just prefer to copy and paste things at me in the hope that I’ll read them? Alright let’s entertain it.
Does that genuinely say we’re importing Israeli military drones? 🤣
this isn’t reddit shithead
Ah yogszy! Been a while since I saw your name. How’s the collapse of the west progressing? Imminent, I believe it was. In 2024.
It’s progressing better than I could’ve hoped, and if you’re too ignorant to see it happening then what else is there to say. Now go back to whatever hole you crawled out of fash.
I’m glad you see it working out, what’s next (once the likes of me have been dealt with)?
oh look found a picture of you
How’s that going btw?
One billion times more productive than posting about Russia on discussion board
One billion times 0 is still 0.
I appreciate that you see both as zero, that’s remarkably insightful for this place.
You really should read theory. I think you haven’t yet, so you’re a little lost. It’s okay, all of us learn at our own pace
One billion times zero is still zero.
