Afghanistan has been a haunted battlefield for the world’s fiercest armies, from Alexander the Great in the third century BC to Americans in the 21st century.
You are right, it is not a communist source, but it is from Iran, a neighbor of Afghanistan. Clearly they have a different perspective, but I dont think we shouldnt dismiss it just because of that. If we only consider sources that agree with our perspective or our ideology, we will easily get stuck in an information bubble, and ignore reality.
I realize in post that the way I said “not a communist source” wasn’t meant to be a ‘i only trust communist sources’, was just pointing that out. (probably didn’t need to be pointed out, tho.)
