    I wish I was that optimistic. Orban has been in power since 2010 in Hungary and there is no sign of him going anywhere.

    I’m afraid that once they have the parliament, they’ll write some fucked up law that will allow them to stay in power indefinitely. I don’t remember what it was exactly, but in the last presidential election they had a campaign promise that was something like “the elected party will automatically get 30% of the seats on parliament”. Those people are crazy.

      Hungary doesn’t really have a strong left movement the way France does though. When there’s no left alternative, then people moving out of the mainstream will naturally move right.
