the problem is that you are going about this backwards (materialist) dialectics IS the application of the scientific method and of the scientific world view and way of thinking to society and philosophy. You cant apply dialectics to science because its already been done before dialectics was even invented.
I actually completely agree with what you said there. In fact it is precisely that backwards application of the dialectics of society to nature that i take issue with! That would be like trying to apply the laws of particle physics to human society.
That is the misuse of a model outside of its intended scope.
