American Zionists are not deluded about Zionism. They know exactly what Israel is, and they are actively supporting blatant supremacy, racism, and apartheid. But that is changing, because Zionism is finally being challenged in the left/liberal press.
I wish this article went deeper into liberal identity politics. I see this same attitude mirrored in the way libs treat queer people, black people, women, etc. Libs routinely cant (or perhaps don’t want to) distinguish criticism from bigotry and it consistently fuels the latter.
