    Seems alien to me how people reject materialism explicitly. Lenin has no ideals duh that’s the whole point of scientific socialism. “muh everything in my head is perfect how dare you account for reality”

      What? Lenin absolutely had ideals. Having them and following philosophical idealism are two different things.

        Well you are right in a sense because it boils down to both how you define “ideal” as well as if we think of Lenin as the man or Lenin as the thinker.

        I said he had no ideal because his philosophy rejects the notion of an ideal society and an ideal revolution

        At the same time as an individual he probably had dreams about communism, so, ideals. Also if you define"ideals" more broadly we could say he defended ideals but I like to separate “ideas” and “ideals” as two different things
