Even if it was true that working conditions were currently worse in China than in the imperial core, it would only mean that, thanks to the law of unequal exchange, the labor aristocracy can get more freebies from the government. When they say “capitalist countries” they conveniently ignore most of the third world where capitalism is unbearable and everything is just plain worse than in China. Such blatant ignorance to simply call Swenden and cie “capitalist” when everything positive about them is due to the looting of exploited countries.
