Some of these potential member states seem to have diametrically opposed interests, particularly Iran and Saudi Arabia. In your opinion, who amongst these potential states will actually be accepted?

I don’t think opposing political interest matter much. I mean look who’s in already, and the thing works despite. All of them have at least single common goal though: not getting colonised by USA.

So you reckon the entire slate will make the cut? I do still have scepticism about whether or not the Saudis and Iranians would be able to work in the same tent personally, given the severity of their rivalry in the middle east. If I had to take a bet on it, I reckon they’d take on Iran and close the door on the Saudis.

What fundamental conflicts of interest does he have with his counterparts in Russia, China, South Africa and India? None of these countries are exactly knocking around in their neighbourhood, the only tie they all have are economic relationships. They’re engaged in technology trades and mutual export. Outside of these beneficial arrangements, no-one’s trodden on Bolsonaro’s toes. I’m personally more concerned about how China and India balance their relationship, given their border dispute over Uttar Pradesh.

Brasil don’t have any. In Fact Brasil have the excact same interest as the rest of the global south, to oppose the USA domination, especially they are the most crucial state in the Monroe zone.

Problem is, as you can see from EU doing now, even a dozen of powerful countries included in one of the economically strongest organization can absolutely shit on their own interests on the whistle of Uncle Sam and blow themselves into completely unnecessary crisis only for the interest of US haute bourgeoisie. So i was pretty surprised Brasil did not sabotaged BRICKS it turned out Bolsonaro is less comprador that suspected.

China and India are politically opposed (or rather India oppose China), but recently their relation has thawed a bit with the both sides backing up a little there and India participating in the russian finance system with China. So not even Modi is a EU level of comprador.

So why not Iran and Saudis? But we shall see Iran manage to defend from the colour coup and if Saudis remain on their recent course away from USA.
