We are in a crucial moment – will Biden and Netanyahu resume their genocide in Gaza, or will there be a permanent ceasefire? Because of the steadfastness of the Palestinian people along with regional and global pressure, the temporary “pause” in [the neocolonial] assault has been extended, allow for the release of more Palestinian prisoners and the entry of additional humanitarian aid. If we keep up the pressure and stay mobilized, we can turn the temporary pause into a permanent ceasefire, and make major strides towards the ultimate goal of ending the occupation and apartheid once and for all.

This Wednesday is the International Day in Solidarity with the Palestinian People. The movement to Shut It Down for Palestine will take to the streets again across the United States and around the globe in another powerful display of opposition to the crimes of the [neocolony] and its U.S. backers.

These actions will also demand freedom for all 8,300 Palestinian political prisoners held in [neocolonial] jails. Many of these prisoners are held under a particularly outrageous practice called “administrative detention” in which Palestinians do not even know what they are being charged with, let alone what evidence is being used against them. The over 100 who have been released so far during the pause have been greeted by joyous family and huge crowds – it is time for every single Palestinian held by [neocolonialism] to come home.

Let’s stay in the streets and win freedom for Palestine!

Wednesday: San Francisco to Protest for International Day of Solidarity with Palestine!

SAN FRANCISCO WED NOV 29
400 Howard St. 4:30PM

We urge all of our supporters to join us for a mass action in San Francisco at the BlackRock Office (400 Howard St) this Wednesday at 4:30 PM to Shut It Down For Palestine!

The announcement of a two-day extension of the ceasefire does not change the fundamental issue: a pause is just a pause. [The neocolony] is committed to continuing its campaign of genocide against Palestinians. This is a critical moment for all people of conscience to demand a permanent ceasefire, an end to the siege of Gaza, and an end to all aid to [the neocolony].

Please make an urgently needed donation to support this action and our solidarity work with Palestine in this pivotal moment.

This day of action will mark the annual International Day of Solidarity with Palestine with protests, marches and rallies around the world. The San Francisco action will target BlackRock, a multinational investment behemoth that has channeled over $33 billion into 58 companies supporting […] occupation and apartheid, among them Lockheed Martin, Raytheon, Boeing, Caterpillar, Elbit Systems, and HP.

Last week, ANSWER was proud to join countless other organizations in taking to the streets across the US to march, boycott and disrupt business as usual on Black Friday, the biggest shopping day of the year. In San Francisco, we marched shoulder-to-shoulder with 2,000 community members and organizers from Civic Center to Union Square, where activists dropped a massive Palestinian flag over the façade of the Macy’s building.

Your support is critical to our work – please make a generous donation toward the costs of banners, placards, sound equipment, posters and flyers and the many expenses that we must cover to keep building the Palestine solidarity movement at this critical juncture.
