Because my 1080 is on the way out. Half the time it doesnt even signal out to my tv. And while I imagine a 3080 is overkill; it would be nice to have a GPU that can handle Cyber punk on high settings in 2k at 60fps and it be a trivial affair.
Right now Im lucky to run CP2077 at 1080p while it oscillates between 30 and 50 fps.
My brother has a rx 6800 that does pretty good with veloren 2K 140+ frames. doesn’t have as much flops but more VRAM and should end up being cheaper and better balanced.
My bigger issue is that my monitor is a cheaper 4k gaming TV. 😒 My consoles tend to run rather smoothly looking. Something might be an issue that MAYBE PCs arent too good at talking to tvs. 🤔
Why do you need a 30TFLOP GPU with only 10GB of VRAM?

No I doubt that. But console games are more tightly optimized so you would expect less frame variance.
Optimization is a tough issue and it might not even be your hardware. Look on techpowerup to see the exact specs of your GPU.
