Newegg must really be desperate to get rid of those graphics cards now that GPU mining is useless.

I have been playing Veloren with my family. Thankfully my brother actually likes it and seems to be playing it instead of the old Cube World exe from a youtube video.

My 960M 2016 gaming laptop cannot really handle it and the graphics are pretty alright so that’s some reference.

I just don’t feel comfortable with rendering on a nicer display with some non-adequate graphics card. My 960M cannot hit 1080p 60fps on games I actually tend to play and be interested in like modded Minecraft and Veloren. The displays I am looking at these days are 1440p 10bit 165hz gaming monitors and 4K 120hz OLEDs.

Newer x86 CPUs are just not a great value unless you need something specific like PCIe 4 or lowest possible power consumption (but then you may not want an x86 system). I’m rocking 14nm CPUs and single threaded performance is massively overrated that AMD still seems to dump transistors on.

But you’re prob not going to get over 4TFLOPS on a 28nm GPU. And eventually I will prob need to buy a 7nm GPU even if it is to just forward frames to it’s HDMI 2.1 port.
