The problem with unity here is that typically there is a contradiction when one calls for it. On one hand, when we unite and show solidarity to anti-imperialists, we are accused of being shills, dictator apologists and whatnot. On the other, when we unite with left anti-communists who tend to spread imperialist narratives, we end up alienating comrades under siege from imperialism.
If the left can’t get past this contradiction, any talk of unity ends up in this stunted abomination that can’t get anywhere.
