This is why I spend a good amount of time setting up linters on new repos before even starting to make the application. It saves a ton of time in peer reviews because no one has to think about formatting. Some people may not like the rules chosen but official direction from the boss is “get over it”. There are 0 comments on PRs about formatting which only ever annoys people and is a waste of good dev time.

  • I’m not sure it scratches the itch for you, but you can play Shogun: Total War this way. You can manually direct your army in battles if you want to, but it makes the game take waaay longer (and I usually do poorly). Or you just auto-calculate the results of the battle and you get back to farming resources and taking over your neighbor’s territory.

  • Not because they haven’t screwed people over yet, but because that’s a comparison of dndbeyond to pathfinder, not a product that sells digital Pathfinder source books. It’s comparing apples to oranges. As I mentioned in my first post, you can just buy physical books for dnd and the point is moot.

I could see security being forced to do the manual labor that the engineers need done but don’t have the stamina to do efficiently. There should be more of that kind of cooperation between their teams. What the hell is security even doing 90% of the time when there’s no threat? Regular patrols and checks wouldn’t take even half of their man hours.
