Armies are generally very strict hierarchies for a reason.

I thought they were strict because they were the product of authoritarian societies. But you said “generally” so I am curious about armies who aren’t like this. Are revolutionary armies less strict and authoritarian ?

Well if you are here I assume that you agree that property is theft. Or at least that you are familiar with such an idea, so what I will try to do is ask you what other uses you could give to said property. The question gets easier to answer when there are people freezing to death and we are keeping people outside so we can keep property value high enough.

I could go on and argue that such behavior is just a subproduct of playing the game. But I will stop myself because I think we all agree that to resist is also to not think about only our personal interests.

As long as you don’t feel compelled to betray yourself I think things should work.However the hard part is acknowledging when things aren’t working.

identify whether or not they’re actually informed on what they’re talking about, and figure out if it’s worth letting them drive wedges into your activist efforts. If they actually care to help, they’ll shut up and help. If they don’t, then just don’t bother with them.

We are not a single organization, but many orgs, so for now it would be time to build brides between orgs so we can actually cooperate when we agree, and agree to not work together when we don’t.

This is the community I am most active in this site, I am an anarchist, and I work with anarchists and non anarchists, hence I seek advice here from fellow anarchists around the world. I also reckon that the biggest anarchist local organization for immigrants rights is a predominantly white space. And when they refuse to work with a predominantly non white org, on the basis that they are not anarchists, its to put their ideals ahead of the needs of the people who they are supposed to help. And when white upper class interests are put ahead the minority interests it’s a major red flag for me. Maybe we should we talk about racism and classism inside our own movements ?

Hope this gives you more context to understand. I see that it can be difficult to have people criticize anarchists organizations, but take it from someone who is doing ground work and is an anarchist, my goal is not to invalidate anarchism by no means.

so i guess all the downvotes are people who feel uncomfortable having this conversation. like people on denial asking for statistics(that they could look up themselves) as means of trying to create counter arguments. debatelords who still belive in universalism crubling at the sight of another reality. rationals idealize being able to change their minds, but in reality they are the ones who struggle the most with it. for the rationality that should protect them from bs is hard as an iron shell.

well, i would reach out to orgs that help people who are struggling. at least my org is looking to give out tech to immigrants/refugees. if we are neaby maybe we can work together

I advocate for a society in which we don’t miss the opportunity of working with talented people because toxic behavior drives them away from contributing to a better society. But I also believe that we should first ensure people’s right to live, so I wouldn’t refuse access to vaccines based on these principles. I am more likely to ask the company to try to put money(if possible) in education programs, giving the people a chance to act towards change seems to work a long way to build justice.

Yes it is just a dream, but when we dream together we(slowly) change reality. We can create unions, join an org and help each other we can also support people who are struggling and keep going on.

Why does it have to be total annihilation? In the grander scheme of things RMS is a small fish that is in some ways more of a friend than an enemy.

I am unaware of rms efforts to change, I am also unaware of him having changed positions and showing it with action. At worst, him coming back(with the small amount of information I have) sounds just like defiance and lack of respect for oppressed people.

There was so much bad blood over this, why can’t we just move on and accept this peace offer to the other side?

As someone who believes in restorative justice I’d like to know more about the peace offer. :)
