I got prescribed a lower dose until I had the lowest. Then i split that in half. Then took it every other day.
It maybe helped some, but I still went through hell once I stopped. It was like my brain was re-wiring. It was 4-6 months of brain zaps and extreme emotions until I finally started to level out.
Lexapro helped when I was in a deep funk. However it also numbed me out. Coming off it after 4 years was horrible.

As someone who was alive in the 70’s, there really was nothing like it. Not that was any good and not in the main stream.
I don’t mean there wasn’t science fiction or fantasy or whatever. I mean, it generally sucked and was low budget schlock.
Lucas took that shit so seriously he practically had a heart attack making the first one. It shows, for audiences at the time, it was a game changer.
It was a blockbuster where people were waiting in line for DAYS to see it.
You look at it now and I can see how it’d look mid. But, it pretty much launched science fiction/fantasy movies as a mainstream thing.
Because Disney completely murdered the post OT era. There’s nowhere to go from where they left it and nobody is interested in seeing it.
So they just keep going back to the well in and around the OT.
I think the Acolyte is fine, but bland. It’s on par with most of what they’re doing in general. It’s ok and it’s silly to get mad about.
All in all, Disney has zero imagination and little understanding of what made the original SW special and different. That’s fine, it is what it is.
I felt the last season was kind of crap.
Felt like they were just re-telling the same story/conflict. And I’m with you, the problem was always about hyper capitalist exploitation of powered people and how messed up that would be if it were real.
Now it’s just “homelander bad”.

College sports is already a joke. It’s been operating as an unpaid internship for the majors for decades.
Now I guess the interns get paid. Either way, it’s a horrible situation and shouldn’t have a place at university.
Amateur sports should be played by amateurs. Nobody playing for a big 12 team could reasonably be called an amateur. These colleges are scouting top high school talent. Most of the players have been on this track for years.
You can also reference text easily. If you want to go back and revisit a procedure or certain steps, it’s easily done with text.

I remember hearing about the “free Tibet” movement in the 80s and 90s. I thought it sounded like justice.
I was also taken in by Scorcese’s Kundun and the peaceful sounding Dalai Lama.
Reading about accounts like this drastically changed my attitude. This is not the first one I’ve read about how Tibet used to be, but this is definitely a strong, personal account.

I probably had it worse than most due to my raging neurodiversity. My brain 💯 does not have enough serotonin /dopamine.
Even so it could have just been my specific brain chemistry. But it’s worth keeping in mind because there’s a framing of “safe” antidepressants.
Don’t get me wrong, I needed something at the time. In hindsight, a career change and therapy would have been the better option. I have sensory issues that cause anxiety at the best of times. I was dealing with intense personal trauma and grief. Given my situation and choices, the chemical bandaid did help.
