It’s been years since I tried Unity, but when I picked up Godot it just clicked. I still grumble at my lack of expertise in this versus my normal programming job, but it’s coming along and I can generally build the things I want! The whole node structure is just great.

I asked bing because I miss using I3, and here’s the short version of what it gave me.

bindsym --release --no-repeat $mod+Shift+q [class="Firefox"] nop

Might have to fiddle with it, but then dropped the command into a new chat and had it explain what it does, and it figured out that it should use nop when Firefox is focused.

So, hope it helps some. Now I’ll go think about getting back to i3 somehow.

I have MAYBE a couple hours after 10pm to do things to relax. Until then it’s work, kids, responsibilities for days. So, no time to focus on anything for me other than an hour (if I’m lucky) to go be out with people.

Yes, that sucks, but also it’s life and too many depend on me so as they say, it is what it is. And yes, I’m burned out but as per usual, but if I’m not actively doing things, they don’t get done.

Sounds like they got together and forced their hand. Wonder if there’s a term for that?

We also once spent a week in the far off land of heathens you might have heard of before. It’s called “Canada”. Pretty third world, but we definitely unheathened a lot of kids at church camp that week.

Man I feel so dirty just thinking about what I used to consider “normal” human behavior and all the churchy judginess I had. Thanks parents. At least I got out as soon as I was old enough and never looked back.
