Could have started one on mastodon. Just saying…
Edit: As it turns out mastodon also has an official Godot account. (and three new ones I guess) Didn’t know that.
Or just write it on a dive bar’s bathroom stall wall just above the glory hole. Would still be less filthy than a Twitter account.
And would be seen by more people than on mastodon.
Oh, burn!
Tough, but fair.
A pity there’s no way to interact with that from Lemmy.
you could ask them to @ a certain lemmy community, maybe they will do that. Or what would happend if someone @ the lemmy community in the comments?
I actually just saw that. I assumed that they were only on twitter. The more you know…
I’ve just updated the post, they took a bit more time but the new accounts are on Mastodon as well. https://mastodon.gamedev.place/@godotengine/111732379516724461
Godot is a joy to use. After using unity I’ve got to say the whole thing feels a lot less cluttered and shit
It’s been years since I tried Unity, but when I picked up Godot it just clicked. I still grumble at my lack of expertise in this versus my normal programming job, but it’s coming along and I can generally build the things I want! The whole node structure is just great.
That’s what I thought at the beginning too, when I grabbed Godot, but I can’t say that anymore. It seems like Godot has slowed down my development process and I recently returned to Unity after a couple of months trying Godot. I will keep a close eye on the development of Godot though, with enough changes (especially to the UI designer part of it), I’m willing to try again.
