This should be no surprise, Lauren Boebert is a piece of shit of a human being.

I hold on to the hope that she won’t get re-elected and her place in history will ultimately be treated with the same level of respect as she just treated this child’s memory and family.

She deserves nothing less than to be treated the way she treats others.

I don’t get why this is a headline.

There are two pieces of non-new information from this headline:

    1. People throw away pamphlets that they don’t care about (and also pamphlets that they do care about, but that’s not what’s happening here).
    2. Boebert doesn’t care about school shootings.

…like…I get that this gives someone their outrage fix for the day, but we’ve learned nothing new from it, and it has no long-term impact. If Boebert took this pamphlet to her house and then ignored it, nothing would be different. She’d still be callous and uncaring towards the victims of school shootings.

Every day, new people start actually paying attention to politics. Don’t assume that because we know that Boebert is a terrible person, that everyone knows that she’s a terrible person.

Not to mention, people halfheartedly paying attention to politics seem to require near-constant reminders, or they forget when it comes time to cast a vote.

Long story short, this woman has real power over some people’s lives, by the fact that she is their representative. We should never stop shining a light on the actions of people with real power. In my opinion, anyway.

Yeah such a strange thing to fixate on. I’d probably read it and then throw it away too. Like ok - very sad. I get it. But am I supposed to save every sad pamphlet people give me?

I guess she needs to learn some PR basics but besides that I think this is a non-issue. Criticize her on actual policy

If Boebert took this pamphlet to her house and then ignored it, nothing would be different. She’d still be callous and uncaring towards the victims of school shootings.

Regardless of her opinion on the subject, situations like this can be handled in one of two ways:

      1. Smile at the person, give them a brief thank you and that you’ll look it over when you get to the office/home/whatever, thank them, shake their hand, whatever. Offer them a few kind words if you have the time. Then if the pamphlet is of no interest to you, discard it once you get to your destination. Or at the very least, wait until the person who gave it to you is out of sight before discarding it.

      2. Callously walk by them as if they are second class people not worthy of your time, grab whatever they were handing you, and just toss it in the trash right in front of them as if their concerns, opinions, and information doesn’t matter. Bonus points if you “thank” them with obvious sarcastic undertones or just outright telling them you don’t have time for them and acting as if just acknowledging their existence is beneath you.

Most people with half an ounce of decency choose some variant of #1. Lauren Boebert chose #2. Lauren Boebert always chooses #2, because she carries herself in a way that shows she thinks that she actually is better than everybody else. This is why people are so pissed off.

It wasn’t that she threw it out. 98% of us would do the same thing. It’s that she threw it out right in front of him and acted as if the entire subject wasn’t even worthy of her time.

It’s a headline because we’re all hoping this is a moment that will wake one of the crazies up and be like “nah can’t follow this anymore, that crossed the line”

It’s very unlikely but the odds are not 0

It’s like someone who watches The Muppet Christmas Carol every year, and every time is filled with rage whenever Scrooge is mean to Bob Crachet (aka Kermit the Frog).

At this point we all know how the story goes. We know who the “bad guy” is and that the bad guy is gonna do bad guy shit.

The 24 hour news cycle is and always has been a massive waste of space that serves no purpose other than attention seeking.

Bobby, some things are like a tire fire, trying to put it out only makes it worse. You just gotta grab a beer and let it burn.

Somehow I find MTG more palatable than Boobert. Only in that I want her to be the victor in the celebrity deathmatch.

Bobert is way better looking, so at least you have something to look at while you try to tune her out. With MTG I have to close my eyes too. MTG is a multi sensory assault. She looks like she probably smells bad too.

It’s like choosing between constipation and diarrhea. Boob seems very full of herself and I won’t be surprised if she suicides once finally booted from office. MTG is just a geyser of absurdity and likely far smarter than her act suggests. Both are unpleasant, but I’d take the diarrhea with the hope that it can’t possibly last forever.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, Marge would kill her in a real fight. She’s built like a fucking silver back gorilla.

Didn’t Marge have an affair with her workout trainer? If that’s true we know for a fact she works out. Boob looks like if she works out at all, it’s purely cardio

Anyone remember Michele Bachmann? Aside from the fact that she was from my state I wouldn’t either. These kind of over the top reactionary people tend to burn out once the novelty wears off, or someone like MTG manages to out-crazy them.

Marge scares me. She looks neolithic. Boob is just a dumb parrot doing what she’s told by her handlers, but Marge appears to believe what she’s spewing.

MTG reminds me of the scene in The Office when Dwight wears the CPR mannequins face. Like she’s wearing a badly fitted fake plastic face over her real face.

When 9/11 happened, we didn’t ban planes. We secured the cockpit

Says Boebert, an automatic opponent of any attempt to secure the guns she’s comparing to planes.

That’s silly, she probably meant the principal’s office since they are the pilot of the school they are in charge of; she said forget the kids, protect the highest paid useless person there.

Sorry, but this is just horrible journalism and should not get any attention. Zero relevant content, bad spelling, just rage-bait.
