This has been my experience as well. I went through a few years of taking and enjoying paper notes, but at a certain point I realized that without the ability to search my notes, I’m not getting as much value as I could otherwise. That with the addition of digital being more conveniently always with me has led me there.

That being said, there are so many options with apps and systems for digital management that the simplicity of just grabbing a piece of paper and writing still sounds enticing sometimes, haha.

Honestly #5 is the biggest one. I don’t want algorithms in my timeline but I do want some kind of algorithm “for you” feed when I feel like exploring.

I’ve tried IVPN a number of times but it never works for getting around mlb.tv blackouts which is my biggest use case. ExpressVPN has just been reliable for me in that regard.

It’s very likely not related at all. Had a client last week also start getting these popups and asked for a GPO to stop them. This is just a MS marketing campaign for copilot, lol.

I was talking about the $30 lifetime price. Absolutely no way I would subscribe and pay monthly.

I’m glad to see this topic come up because it’s been weighing on me too. I want to support the devs but the $30 lifetime price is just way too high unless it covers iOS, iPad, AND macOS apps (with syncing!)

In addition to the extremely high price, not even being able to ‘trial’ the fully featured app is just… weird.

Yeah I’ve had it sporadically happen to me but last night was the most effective. Fully updated Firefox and ublock on windows and I could only watch 3 videos before getting locked out.

Previous to last night, I hadn’t seen the pop up for at least a week.

I’m fairly certain this happened to me before and uninstalling then reinstalling the app fixed it for me.

If they’re that concerned for their family they should move them to safety or just not play hockey in North America. Plenty of people go their whole lives without being pro sports players, I’m sure the Russian orthodox players can figure out another career.

A crash makes sense actually, and for whatever reason it never crossed my mind but that would explain what we’re all seeing.

I chatted with Apple support and they seemed to think the gap in the battery graph was normal if the screen was off?

I have suspicions that Focus modes also have some impact as to how the graph is displayed but haven’t confirmed it yet. The support rep seemed to think the passcode prompt was a coincidence as it’s something iPhone will prompt for after 6.5 days of not using a passcode.

I had an iPhone 15 plus that was showing a last status of “10 hours ago” in Find My. Once I called it, it immediately checked in and the battery graph on that phone showed a gap right up until the moment I called the phone.

Potentially, yeah. I have an iPhone 8 Plus on 15.7 and it did not experience a power down or restart last night but my 15 Pro on 17.0.3 did.
