      If you read the article, you’ll see how that’s not actually a solution, let alone a good faith proposal.

        Any sources on the grasslands thing? I’m fascinated. I was in the plant as many trees as possible camp but you’re making a persuasive case.

          A quick search turned up this from UC Davis:

          • Increased drought and wildfire risk make grasslands more reliable carbon sinks than trees
          • Grasslands should be given opportunities in state’s cap-and-trade market as long-term investment
