I haven’t gotten that far yet but he’s really knowledgeable and even-handed so far (I’m only halfway through) and, more to the point, he seems pretty woke about Mao’s China as well as contemporary China:

China had a long history of being the most advanced economy in the world, as a source of highly valued goods and as an inspiration for others to emulate. Western imperialism overpowered China in the 19th century, and China fell into a long era of humiliation and economic decline.

The revolutionary struggle that led to the creation of the People’s Republic in 1949 gave China the ability to once more control its own destiny, and the Chinese people have worked long and hard to bring their country back to a place of respect and responsibility in the world. China’s rise does not constitute a threat to other peoples or countries.

Wow, amazing. I’ll have to listen to this guy then. Let me finish a video and then I’ll get around to it. But yeah, I think that it’ll be alright so far. Let me know if there are any problems, at least near the end. That being said: I think that things will be alright.
