I think I need a, um /c/explainlikeimfive (this sublem probably hasn’t been made yet, or maybe not… it’s the goddamn wild west out here) of how all these federated stuff actually works and if what you’re describing actually would lessen the load on lemmy’s servers. I work with servers hardware shit but web server software is magical to me.
