China is the biggest economy to back the initiative so far. Neither the United States nor Russia have signed up.

    Russia should sign up and be on the right side of history. Besides, people will thank them for it and in addition, they have a great scientific sector to their country, which comes from the Soviet days. They should do everything they can not only to show that they’re willing to take different avenues, but to show that they’re willing to do what it takes to beat this deadly disease.

    They’re already in phase 3 of developing their own vaccine, mind you, last I checked.

      Yeah, it would’ve been good if they signed up and shared their research. Sadly, it’s a capitalist hellscape nowadays.

        Oh yeah, for sure, and I think that Russia just wants to be the one to do it all first on their own, but that’s just my hypothesis at the moment.
