Seriously. Last thing I bought from was vic3 base game so i could mod it (fuck steam mods who don’t upload to nexus or have a github somewhere or SOMETHING other then gatekeeping it behind steam workshop).
At least its moderately easy to pirate all the dlc on steam still. People out there justifying spending $500 on a game when we got multiple free “DLC” patches on games like stardew is kinda insane. And the DLCs have less content then the average free mod nowadays… People really need to just make open source versions of pdx games at this point. I think some people are doing it with vic2.
i dumped so much money into stellaris DLCs after the 3 rework of the base game i just about had it, i paid more than enough and then some for a complete video game, i’m going to get a complete video game
that’s the comedy of it all, until they get abandoned for the next game in the series, paradox games are never done, they’re essentially in early access
