I accidentally had this happen once, I was drunkenly reheating takeaway in a wok at 3 AM because reheating Chinese food in a microwave is tedious (Half power, double the time. Who has time for that??) and I could add some other leftovers. My housemate walks in and goes “oh you made a stir fry at 3 am?” and for some reason I straight up said yes.

Several months later, she asks for my recipe for sweet & sour and I was like “oh I’m not from the part of China that does that, your Bing search is as good as mine”. She goes “I saw you make it drunk!” and I honestly couldn’t remember. Took a bit of back and forth for me to remember the event in question and I was like “oh no that was takeaway, I don’t have the time or knowledge to velvet pork and flash fry it”
