    the latest research does not support the filter feeder mustache theory. The Stalin’s diet of millions of pounds of grain suggests the development of a large spooning mechanism (despite lack of fossil evidence).

    Stalin did not eat. He received all the energy he needed from revolutionary optimism.

    His mustache in fact functioned as a combine harvester, with the grain then issuing out of his signature pipe and into a hamper, and harvest many a field he did in those early days of equipment shortage. Goebbels of course twisted it around to say Stalin was eating the grain, and now even many Communists repeat the claim.
