Modern Catholic ideology gets really hung up on the idea that God’s dice roll needs to be an integral part of the reproductive process and anything that interferes with that (contraceptives, abortion, IVF) is an abomination. They’re literally doing the “I consent! I consent! … I didn’t” meme.
Well the Catholic Church has been against IVF for decades so yeah wouldn’t surprise me if it gets traction in the anti-choice circles.
