smuglord: “Lol, real gommie has never been tried!”

It’s funny, we’re all ready to hear out fascists but we can never help ourselves when it comes to sabotaging AES countries. If they’re ‘the enemy’ then them going socialist MUST be the best way to beat them without spending a single penny.

You can donate to The Hatuey Project, they get medical supplies to Cuba. I think it’s run by The People’s Forum but not 100% sure.

It is in my opinion somewhat ridiculous that China watches this situation and does nothing significant. They could effectively end sanctions by themselves by simply commanding a few domestic businesses (with little exposure to western markets) to trade with Cuba. If the socialist countries will not support each other in times of crisis, who will?

I’ve heard that this is more difficult than you’d think. If you look at sanctions against Venezuela, they were so comprehensive that you or your buyer get fucked before even getting close to a loophole like that.

To be fair we do not actually know what goes on behind the scenes. Theres a chance China has tried to do this and was somehow stopped by the US, or Cuba just didnt want to. Or maybe they do trade a bit but just dont talk about it publically.

Fair enough, but a public attempt at remedying the situation could earn China a lot of goodwill.

Ya i agree just with the US being so close and China being so far its gotta be difficult to pull off. They could even deny entry to the panama canal for any ships bound to cuba.

i agree, China should be helping smaller countries way more, one of their bigger Ls.

China could start an alternative to the IMF for instance, one which doesn’t force austerity for loans, the loans could be in Yuan

Yeah. They are already being accused of debt imperialism. Might as well just ignore the braying from the Americans who have no interest in being unbiased to begin with
