Dildo is a terrific little trip if you’re already in the area. Beautiful drive to get there, the town is pretty cute, the brewery has good beer, food, and a view, and you can buy a t-shirt, hat, keychain, etc. with the word ‘Dildo’ on it. It’s definitely a pure tourism destination, but I wouldn’t call it a tourist ‘trap’ because you have to go out of your way to visit, and it does exactly what it says on the tin.
Why is it called that way? Haha
It’s a name for a removable peg that holds a rowing oar in place on a boat. You can imagine what the peg looks like.
