Thinking the USSR was better and being a Fascist are sadly not mutually exclusive, just look at NazBols for instance.
Sadly, a lot of Ukrainians are aware that the USSR was significantly better than the liberal state that followed for them, but instead of going down the “oh, we should be moving back towards Marxism” route, they get gated by foreign influencers towards supporting far-right politicians who promise a return to USSR-like conditions. Much in the same way western reactionaries talk about going back to the “good ol’ days”, but argue that the only way to return there is via far-right policy.
It amazes me that the Ukraine has 75% agreeing despite the fact that it is a nation filled to the brim with fascists.
