      I did not say that we shouldn’t support socialist movements. That would be dogmatic and I 100% agree with it. If you don’t know, the person in the image is an MLM, meaning that he clearly supports movements like the CPP-NPA, the Naxals and even the Shining Path. Currently the most significant revolutions (by significant, I mean most often talked about) are currently the Naxalbari uprising and the CPP-NPA. Both of these revolutions (including the Shining Path) are petit bourgeois.         Do you happen to have any info about intra marxist conflict in India?

        I have a Maoist friend that is adamant that CPI marxist has made violent provocations against the Maoists. I personally am exhausted by drawing out conversations about this with people who are so convinced but I also have a limited understanding of marxism in India and for all I know what they are saying is true. Also maoists are too dogmatic to trust when it comes to stuff like this and are too quick to exaggerate, justify, and advocate for violence so for all I know CPI marxist is justified in fighting with maoists.

          Information is often very scarce when it comes to the Naxals (like pretty much the rest of Maoist theory in Peru and the Philippines), however, the claim that CPI (Marxist) made violent provocations against Maoism is false. From “Naxalism Today”, The naxals claim that CPI(Marxist) always served the ruling class, despite a lack of evidence. CPI (Marxist) also states that Naxalism often targets their party especially in the region of West Bengal. So if anything, it’s the maoists who are attacking CPI (Marxist) and not the other way around.

      Gopnik Award covered the big thing but I’d also add that this person seems to consider AES as ‘capitalist restoration’ - a typical bullshit view held by MLMs, mainly about China but also other AES, in some cases even the DPRK.
